Industry and commerce moving the world forward. |

Mankind has always been industrious. Driven by desire, curiosity and the constant quest for more, individuals and groups have pushed the limits of 'what is'. Leaving the comforts of home, risking the unknowns beyond familiar boarders, testing the possibilities of 'What If' and finally finding ways of sharing and or distributing the results of their efforts. Imagine how small our individual world's would be if someone had not noticed that if you block the natural breezes in the air a force is exerted that can make moving over water and land easier. Luckily the patent office hadn't been established when our ancestors came up with the concept of a sail or the wheel. The human race advanced in small incremental steps moving forward one step at a time until suddenly in the 1800's things began to move quickly. Ideas, science, industry setting a staggering pace which continues today. What we take for granted today couldn't even have been imagined 200 hundred years ago and yet here we are. We all benefit in some way from the technology and industry surrounding us. We barely give a thought as to how it was created and what was involved in getting it from concept and raw material to the products and tools we use. Naturally Industry and Commerce come with a price. |
